Penne all'arrabbiata / arrabattia is a Roman pasta dish consisting of penne, boiled in salted water, with sauce of garlic, tomatoes, basil and red chili cooked in olive oil.

Round quill shaped pasta with tomatoes and hot peppers.

The dish is normally served with chopped fresh parsley besprent on top. Meats (commonly bacon) and vegetables can be used in this dish, as can other types of pasta.
